Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American designer and author who has received numerous awards for her writing and design. She advocates animal rights. Ali MacGraw is famous for films such as Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. Her family was an artist family in New York and wanted to explore a career in the arts. The first job she had was an assistant to photographers. After that, she switched to acting and modeling. In her first two films her name was acknowledged and was awarded the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw became a household name in the year 1970 following her hit movie Love Story. She was selected for the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. Within three years she had been voted as the top female box office starter in the world. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater signed her name as well as foot prints, hand prints, and footprints in the year 1972. The actress has appeared in a variety of other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among other. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography of hers, was published. MacGraw was married three times.
